American tennis coaching legend, Andy Brandi passes away at the age of 72 after battling with cancer for a while. The tennis fraternity mourns the death of the legendary coach. Several superstars of the game recently recalled their fond memories with the coach while paying their condolences.

Brandi has spent almost 17 seasons as a coach at the University of Florida. He was best known for coaching the Florida Gators tennis team to three national championships during the 1990s. Andy Brandi also worked as the executive director of IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Recently, he served as the head coach of the LSU Men’s Tennis team (2017-2022).

The former American tennis player, Jimmy Arias came to the Tennis Channel Live show and said, “He was when I was just a wee lad. He was running things and uh, classy guy, great coach, great person. And, you know he went on from the academy life to college tennis and affected young people’s lives for his whole life.
