Andy Zodin is the President of the USPTA Intermountain Division. He is actively involved in tennis affairs and was involved in the ‘KickServeRadio’ podcast that featured the likes of Mats Wilander and Jonny Levine.

Talking about Gauff’s game and comparisons to the American tennis legend, Zodin said, “then you talk about the multi dimensional aspects to her (Coco Gauff) game, which again, as I mentioned, Johnny seemed to maybe downplay that a little bit, but number one of the world in doubles as well now.”

Further, he went on to add, “That sort of in a way, as opposed to maybe comparing her to the Williams sisters, now, you’ve got to make comparisons to John McEnroe.”

John McEnroe’s views on Coco Gauff

Earlier this month, the American legend was involved in an interview where he talked about the upcoming American stars in tennis. McEnroe was particularly impressed by the likes of Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton.

Opening up about the WTA star, McEnroe said, “Oh, I love Coco Gauff.” Further, he felt that Gauff would be the torchbearer for American tennis now that Serena Williams has retired and Venus Williams is nearing the end of her career.
