Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils tied the knot on July 16, 2021. The couple got engaged in April 2021 when Monfils proposed to Svitolina and she said yes in the first attempt only. However, they waited for three more months before finally, getting married in Geneva, Switzerland yesterday.

Both Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils posted pictures of their wedding ceremony on Instagram and looked quite happy. While Monfils was wearing a purple suit, Svitolina was looking beautiful in whites and was holding some purple flowers.
“Best day of my life,” wrote Svitolina in the Instagram caption.
On the other hand, Monfils too updated a picture with the caption, “Mrs. and Mr. Monfils.”

Tennis players congratulate Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils on Instagram
Both the ATP and WTA congratulated Svitolina and Monfils. Even the Australian Open official Instagram handle couldn’t stop itself from commenting on the post and from extending its best wishes to the couple.

“That is a wedding look. Congratulations,” mentioned the ATP Tour in the comment section. On the other hand, the WTA wrote, “Congratulations both” and used a purple heart emoji.
World No.3 Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki seemed extremely happy after seeing the post and showered their love. “Congrats,” wrote Halep and used the ‘heart’ emoji while Wozniacki wrote, “Yesss!!! Congrats Guys.”
Monfils friends Felix Auger-Aliassime and David Goffin also extended their heartwarming wishes on Instagram. In addition, Nick Kyrgios and Alex De Minaur were quick to react to the post as well. Apart from them, the Tennis Channel wrote, “So happy for the two of you!”
It is definitely a delightful moment for the entire tennis world. Fans are also quite cheerful and hope that Svitolina and Monfils remain together forever. It’ll be intriguing to see if they’ll be able to win a mixed doubles title after their wedding.
