It’s the release day of ‘King Richard’- the movie that fans have been waiting on for quite a long time now. The film portrays the life of Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, and how he shaped two of the greatest tennis players of all time. Interestingly, renowned Hollywood star Will Smith is playing the character of Richard in the movie.

Even on its Grand Premiere night, the film has got quite a great response. Fans of Smith have already started giving ‘Oscar’ shout-outs to him for his brilliant performance in the film.

Will Smith pays a surprise visit at Wimbledon’s junior academy

Ahead of the release of his film, Will Smith along with two of his co-stars, Demi Singleton, and Saniyya Sidney, who are playing the role of Serena Williams and Venus Williams respectively in the film, stunned some young tennis players at Wimbledon’s academy. The 53-year-old performed some drills and even had a conversation with them.

Interestingly, the youngsters couldn’t just believe what they just witnessed. They were all really delighted to meet him and felt lucky to have a conversation with the famous actor.

Along with hitting the theatres, fans can also tune into HBO Max for watching ‘King Richard’. Intriguingly, the movie is releasing on the online platform on the very same day, i.e, November 19, 2021.

The initial reviews of the movie are really amazing. While some are hailing it as the best sports film ever, others failed to count the number of times it gave them goosebumps.

It will be interesting to see how much ‘King Richard’ earns on its release day. Will it be able to break every record on the box office?
