The French tennis player, Corentin Moutet, recently made headlines after he took a sly dig at the former Russian tennis player, Maria Sharapova. It came after he brought into question the ATP rules of penalizing players for expressing themselves on the court. The former world No. 51 player then accused the tennis association of promoting video clips of such outbursts in order to make money off it. However, a tennis fan with a display picture of Sharapova protested his “expressing” remarks by calling it “cheating”.

It received a blunt response from the ATP player who decided to throw the former tennis ace under the bus with a sly reference. Corentin reminded the fan page about the Russian tennis legend’s previous drug ban in order to fire back at that “cheating” comment. Now, a few days after those comments, the French player was involved in another contentious incident over his abusive rant on the court.
