Unidentified body found at Wimbledon

On Day 8 of the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, a body was spotted near the site of the tennis courts. The body’s location is believed to be just over half a mile away from the venue of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament. The incident occurred before the start of the day’s play, with the body discovered at 9:25am in South London. Identifiers called the Metropolitan Police, who have since then cordoned the area. The death of the man is termed as unexpected and unexplained at this point.

According to the Metropolitan Police’s statement as reported by Wimbledon Times, “Officers were called at 9.25am on Monday, July 10 to Chobham Gardens, SW19.”?Further, it said that a forensic scene was in place.

Shocking details emerged from another tragedy

Last week, a 46-year-old woman crashed her Land Rover into pedestrians, resulting in the death of an eight-year-old schoolgirl. The incident took place at The Study Prep School in Wimbledon. Additionally, more than a dozen people were seriously injured and paramedics later shifted some of them to the hospital based on the response from preliminary treatment.

However, according to various reports, it is believed that the lady driver suffered a medical condition just before the accident. Police said that she may have had a seizure leading to the accident. Nonetheless, what ensued was a sad result and people later took to the streets to pay their respect to the deceased.
