Talking to the press, the current World No.6 tried to better her previous ‘I am the boss’ comment. For this, she stated that relationships are a two-way street and that communication is paramount.

“The good boss is the one who understands because I think it has to be both ways, and I think relationships go both ways. You have to listen, and you have to speak. It is all about the communication,” Elina explained.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian added that every individual has their own set of opinions. In this matter, they gave an underlying advantage given their same professional background.

Elina continued, “We speak a lot. It is really helpful we both compete at the highest level of tennis. We understand what we are both going through. It is really amazing to have someone by your side who can share the same emotions and the same problems.”

Undoubtedly, the G.E.M.S.life will continue to inspire the world with their remarkable on and off-court stories for many more years.
