Later, Navratilova was asked if the other young guys on the ATP Tour should be worried about the 19-year-old considering his major title and rankings. The American tennis legend answered by saying, “Especially since they’re only older than Alcar so the pressure is I mean, when you’re younger every year makes a difference. So you can go from two or three years older, but the guys beating me ‘What’s going to happen two years from now because he’s still gonna improve more than I am.'”

While speaking about the reigning US Open champion, she brought to light the knockdown effect in the game. The former tennis ace said, “So you can be thinking about it too much. Just think about what you can control what you can do and hopefully take good from it and I do see the knockdown effect already. More players using more drop shots.”
