The Texas school shooting incident took the lives of 21 people, including 19 children and two teachers. In its aftermath, the world was in a state of shock and horror.

The sporting world was no different, as many sports persons reacted to the unfortunate incident. 23-time Grand Slam winner, Serena Williams, was one of them.
Serena Williams writes a heartfelt message about the Texas incident
Earlier, the legendary American tennis player tweeted about the incident as she wrote, “I have been truly heartbroken by these heinous shootings… I keep praying for the victims and people affected by these crimes. I also Pray for God’s Kingdom to come, but until then we know we are living in times that are indeed “hard to deal with”. Matt 6:10; 2 Timothy 3:1-5.”

According to recent reports, 3 people are still fighting for their lives alongside the 21 casualties. The police also reported that they had shot and killed the gunman, Salvador Ramos.
Other sports personalities also react to the incident
Former Czechoslovakian-American tennis player, Martina Navratilova recently expressed her views on Twitter, as she said, “Our country has a terminal violence illness… so sad and for the most part preventable… just so sad… #guncontrol NOW!!!…”

Apart from tennis, another sporting world also talked about the heartbreaking incident. Steve Kerr, the coach of the NBA team, the Golden State Warriors, recently gave an emotional speech during a press conference. LeBron James and others have also made a statement regarding the same.
