After that, Madison Keys moved to Boca Raton in 2005 and Fratangelo moved there the following year. According to the ATP Tour, “The pair trained at the same facility, and they were part of a group of friends that was close.” As per several reports they used to live together in the same apartment complex for some time. Then in 2017, they started dating each other and six years later, in March 2023, Fratangelo proposed to Madison Keys.

Describing that heartwarming moment, Madison Keys said, “He actually did it at home. The day that I got back from Dubai so I was not expecting it at all. I was sitting on the couch and he was like, ‘Hey I have your birthday present.’ He handed me something and then got down on one knee. Just sitting on the couch so now we have to keep the couch forever.” They have been the biggest pillars of support to each other since then. Moreover, Keys believes it was Fratangelo who had helped her enjoy her game on the courts.

Coaching Coup? Keys finds joy on court thanks to Fratangelo

Bjorn Fratangelo is often seen at her player box, cheering out loud for his partner. During an interview, Madison Keys once reflected on the role of Fratangelo in improving her game. She said, “He’s really just kind of helped me enjoy being on the tennis court. There’s been just some, I mean, a few things here and there…Overall just really time on court, just kind of trying to get me to relax and take a little bit of pressure off of myself.

She further went on to add, “I think when you have one of your biggest supporters standing there, especially after the French Open, a tough time for me. Just kind of having that constant support I think was the biggest difference.” However, Keys once jokingly stated he is “pretty chatty” at times from the stands. But she loves the way how he always steps up to help her no matter if it’s on the court or off it. Share your thoughts on this beautiful tennis couple.
