Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have been married for 22 years, but their camaraderie is still as fresh as the day they tied the knot. This was on full display during one of Agassi’s recent appearances in a renowned YouTube podcast. While discussing their upcoming participation in the Pickleball Slam 2, the American tennis legend brought their Grand Slam titles to the discussion to make a playful jest at his wife. Surprisingly, he mentioned the 24-time major winner Novak Djokovic, hinting at a record that even the Djoker would struggle to achieve.

During their incredible careers, both Agassi and Graf won a combined 30 Grand Slam titles. But now, the 53-year-old American tennis legend knows how to add more titles to his name.

When the former world number one appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, he shared his take on sharing the court with wife, Steffi Graf, but with a twist. He jokingly talked about how he would take some of his wife’s Grand Slam titles if they ever decide to separate. Rather than going for other expensive things, the only thing that the eight-time Grand Slam champion wanted from his wife was half of her major titles. Along with that, he also shared a humorous reminder for the current world number one, Djokovic.

McAfee, while mentioning Agassi and Graf’s participation in the Pickleball Slam 2, said, “It’s like couple’s pickleball…Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi…you guys have been preparing? You’ve got moves, you got strategy, you’re are ready?

Responding to the same, Agassi surprised everyone when he said, “Let’s be on the record. If she ever leaves me, I get half her Slams, right? That puts me about 29, so I think Novak has a long way to go.”

Although winning 29 major titles would undoubtedly be a difficult feat, Agassi would be the last person to put it past the capabilities of the Serbian tennis legend. Agassi coached the current ATP world No.1 for a year, from 2017 to April 2018. Although the coach-player partnership ended in a relatively short period, it did prepare the Serb for a period of unprecedented dominance from the 2018 Wimbledon Championships.

Despite making a Djokovic jibe toward his wife, both Agassi and Graf are quite happy in their marriage. In the same interview, he also talked about how playing pickleball together with his wife can be a big deal.

As the couple is getting ready to participate in the Pickleball Slam 2, Agassi has found a new life reality. In the same conversation, he opened up about how sometimes things can get a little complicated while sharing the court with his wife.

He said, “I have been playing it with my wife too, which, by the way, can either add a great deal to your relationship or it can ruin it. So you gotta be careful with that one.” However, he is quite excited about playing the upcoming pickleball slam with his wife.

In the upcoming Pickleball Slam 2, Agassi and Graf will be taking on another pair of legends. It is none other than Agassi’s former rival John McEnroe and the Russian tennis legend Maria Sharapova.
