The Wimbledon Championship is one of the most anticipated tennis tournaments. The tournament began in 1887 with only 21 participants. Ways to watch a live match at the Wimbledon Championship
The Public ballot- The cheapest way to enter the courts for a tennis match is through a public ballot. All one has to do is register via the website. Though the only con to this method is that the arena and match will be allocated by the organizers. Further, people who received seats for the 2021 season can either take a refund or can use the tickets this year as well.

The LTA Ballot- Each year, a set of tickets is made available for only the members of the UK’s Lawn tennis Association. The ballot for the same functions separately from the Public ballots. Also, Unlike Public ballot, the selected candidates can opt for specific tickets out of the ones offered to them. The ballot starts in September and closes in February.
The long-term option- If you are a die-hard fan of tennis, then this option is most viable. Every five years, Wimbledon opens a window for people to invest in its debentures and as a perk to that, debenture holders get a ticket to every day of the Championship for five years. Though if you miss the chance to invest, you can buy tickets from debenture holders. As they are the only legitimate transferable tickets for Wimbledon and also provide the best view.

The other methods
Apart from ballots and debentures, there are other ways of getting a pass to the games. The tournament offers tickets to coaches, schools, and Alumni of university tennis teams. In addition, they also provide a chunk of tickets to over sea tennis federations to be distributed according to their will. And some hospitality groups have the passes included in their tour plans.

Further, another method is camping in a line of candidates. Queue cards are allotted to people in line and, according to the number on the card, they are given a chance to buy themselves a seat. The last option is to buy tickets in the afternoon. But one must have access to the ground.
However, in the end, with all these methods, it still remains a tedious task to buy a ticket to Wimbledon. So much so that is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for some.
