Recently, Jimmy Connor talked about his take on the suspension and defended the two-time Grand Slam champion’s coach over the incident. 

The Romanian star failed the test and tested positive for a little amount of an illicit substance during the US Open. The two-time Grand Slam champion, however, thinks she is falsely accused in the case and would never have done anything to harm her career.

But still, people around are intrigued to blame the other parties involved in the incident. Recently, the former tennis player, Jimmy Connors in a podcast talked about Simona Halep’s doping incident. He also felt Serena Williams‘ former coach was wrongly accused of the same.

Connors said, “Well, you know, I don’t know, it seems that when things are going good, everybody’s happy when things are going bad. The first thing you want to do is, it’s never the player’s fault.” The Badboy defended the tennis coach and discussed how fans hold the famous athletes’ entourages accountable.

He also discussed his impressions of the two-time Grand Slam champion over the same. The eight-time Grand Slam champion never imagined that a determined individual like Halep would be locked in a situation like this.
