Carlos Alcaraz has been stealing the show of late, both on and off the court. On the court, he’s been an unstoppable force of late, winning the US Open by dominating from the start of the tournament to the very end. After dropping just one set all tournament, that too in the final, Alcaraz was able to reclaim both the US Open title from Jannik Sinner and the World No. 1 ranking. But his life off the court has drawn nearly as much attention, with several relationship rumors swirling around the Spanish star. And of course Jessica Pegula, in classic Pegula fashion, had something to say about the whole thing.

Alcaraz has always let his racket do the talking, and his personal life has remained, well, personal. Seldom has he talked about it, but with the increasing spotlight on him, it was rumored that he was in a relationship with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Brooks Nader. Their alleged “relationship” came into the spotlight after Nader’s sister, Grace Ann Nader, discussed their supposed relationship during an interview. “The rumors are true,” she said, claiming that Alcaraz was in a relationship with her sister.

The subject became a talking point on The Player’s Box Podcast. Stars like Jessica Pegula and Madison Keys got together to talk about all things tennis—from dating on the tour to the Grand Slams. And eventually the conversation turned to Alcaraz’s new hair and secret relationship with Nader, as Pegula took a cheeky dig at the Spaniard. She said, “I was gonna say you should have off the court on the court and off the court,” suggesting that he was winning on the court because of the hair and off the court too with his alleged relationship.

Nonetheless the rumor was quickly debunked not long after it entered the news cycle, with journalist Alberto Guzman reporting from Alcaraz’s camp that, “He [Alcaraz] confirmed to those close to him that he is single and has no intention of having any serious relationships.”

Even as talks about his personal life are doing the rounds, Alcaraz is completely focussed on the task at hand, i.e. winning Grand Slam titles. Following his heroics in New York, Alcaraz was tipped for major success by former Grand Slam champion.

Carlos Alcaraz can win 20 Grand Slam titles

In today’s time, thinking about a player winning 20 major titles seems to be a distant dream. However, going by his form over the past few years, nothing seems to be improbable for Alcaraz. At 22, he has already won 6 major titles and is hungry for more. Similarly, Jannik Sinner has also has the best years ahead of him after winning four Grand Slam titles. Thus, Yannick Noah feels that these two stars can near the record set by the Big Three.

He said, “For now, there are two of them, not three like back then, with [Andy] Murray in tow. Apart from Alcaraz and Sinner, I don’t see who could win one of the next eight Grand Slams. These two players can reach 20 Grand Slam titles.”

Further, he added, “They mustn’t get injured, but I think they’re fresh. I think the coaching staff is top-notch. The structure is super well-oiled. You see Alcaraz, the kid is mentally happy. He’s happy. Sinner at 24, you get the impression he has the maturity of a 35-year-old. It’s extraordinary to see all that.”

With the form that the two are in, it won’t be a surprise to see them achieve this feat over the coming years. It looks like the two are unstoppable on the big stage and have clearly set the standards in men’s tennis for years to come.
