It was the year 2022. American tennis star Reilly Opelka was having an on-and-off season that year. Earlier that season, he won two ATP titles alongside a finals appearance in Delray Beach. However, later that year, he suffered a hip injury that resulted in a lengthy layoff. He last played at the 2022 Citi Open in Washington, where he reached the third round before losing to Nick Kyrgios. Additionally, a wrist injury suffered earlier this year further delayed his comeback plans. Now, after more than a year of being out of action, Opelka is finally set to make a much-awaited comeback.
