The WTA star recently dropped an update on her Instagram informing fans that the ‘Tsitsipas’ era is sadly over. The two were counted among the ‘it’ couples of the tennis world as fans used to adore sweet moments between the two. Now the sudden update seems to have stunned the community.

Soon after Badosa put the word of their separation out on her Instagram, it took seconds for it to spread on different social media platforms. An active tennis update channel on Reddit shared a screenshot of the update with a caption that stated, “Tsitsidosa is over 💔”. As soon as the post gained engagement, fans came forward to express the deep shock incurred by the unexpected news.

A fan found it hard to accept the update as both of them seemed genuine for each other. Mentioning that they both already started to give hints about this, he wrote, “In one of the recent Kasatkina’s blog Badosa looked pretty happy when Dasha said she won’t ask any questions about Tsitsipas, so I thought something might be up considering how public they were about their romance.”

“Love is dead 💔” a fan wrote, seeming to be shattered after hearing the update of their separation.

“Well, that was quick. Hope Tsitsipas will handle it well,” a fan wrote, saying that the separation came quicker than expected. The way the world saw it, Tsitsipas and Badosa were happily in love.

Another fan, expressing sadness over the fact that they had to end up this quick, wrote, “Nooo, not my 2nd best tennis couple being over.” Which leads one to ask, who might be the first?

A comment stated the fact that it was quite quick for two soulmates to split up. “I’m way more upset about this than I should be lol,” he added, expressing sadness over the news.

With these and several other comments on a similar note, the fans made their dissatisfaction clear about the saddening update. As the couple now looks forward to traveling solo, it still remains to be seen if there’s more to be leaked about the separation. Meanwhile, the usual route couples take after a breakup has manifested.

Besides Paula Badosa’s words that officially marked an end to her love story, Stefanos Tsitsipas also made a gesture. Soon after the update from Badosa made its way on social media, the ATP star was found missing from the following list, and Badosa reacted by doing the same.

The couple actively shared glimpses of their romantic love life on social media, especially Instagram. Although Badosa still has several posts of them together with other people in the frame on her profile, the fact that they disconnected from each other makes it clear that there’s no going back to the good old days of ‘Tsitsidosa’.
