The 8 Grand Slam title winner, Andre Agassi, has received unwavering support from his German tennis star, Steffi Graf. Since their marriage in 2001, Graf has constantly cheered on her husband throughout his illustrious tennis journey. Additionally, the former German tennis player was also there during Agassi’s farewell tournament in New York.

Agassi once talked about his wife’s presence during the final match of his tennis journey. The American former world No. 1 further talked about Graf’s reaction as he played his farewell tournament.
Andre Agassi once talked about Steffi Graf’s presence during his final tournament
The former American tennis player once talked about the US Open in 2006 as it was the final tournament of his tennis journey. Andre Agassi further revealed in his autobiography, that his family including his wife, Steffi Graf, and children were also there to support him during the tournament in New York.

Agassi stated, “There is a TV above the training table, and I try to watch the news. I can’t. I walk down to the offices. and look in on the secretaries and officials of the U.S. Open. They’re busy. They don’t have time to talk. I step through a small door. Stefanie and the children have arrived.”
The American former world No. 1 went on to say that his children, Jaden and Jaz were busy playing in a little playground that was outside their locker room. They were enjoying by taking turns on a plastic slide that was there in that playground.

Agassi further talked about his German tennis star wife’s emotions during his farewell tournament. He stated, “Stefanie is grateful, I can tell, to have the children here for distraction. She’s more keyed up than I. She looks almost irritated. Her frown says, This thing should have started already! Come on! I love the way my wife spoils for a fight.”

A plethora of tennis fans were overwhelmed with emotions when Agassi announced his decision to move away from the tennis court. The 8 Grand Slam champion started the US Open brilliantly as he defeated the former Romanian tennis player, Andrei Pavel. Agassi then went on to beat former Cypriot tennis player, Marcos Baghdatis in the second round of the tournament in New York.

However, despite his solid performances in the initial rounds, Agassi was knocked out by the former German tennis player, Benjamin Becker. Agassi also received a standing ovation from the crowd for his brilliant performances on the tennis court.
