Recently, Andy Murray came ahead and made his views clear about announcing his retirement from professional tennis. While a fan suggested that he should take retirement from the sport, Murray replied that unlike other sports athletes, he does not think about it in that way. He rather suggested that he has a different mindset.
“Tarnishing my legacy? Do me a favour. I’m in a terrible moment right now I’ll give you that. Most people would quit and give up in my situation right now. While Andy Murray talked about considering retirement, tennis greats Martina Navratilova and Andy Roddick stood firmly by his side. Responding to Murray’s determination to keep fighting, Roddick cheers him on with a resounding “Preach!” He dismisses articles speculating about Murray’s future as unnecessary and critical.
“Preach! Imagine telling an accomplished iconic adult your opinion on what they should choose for work and when they should do it …. This is such a dumb, thirsty article. Can’t take a legacy away. Accomplishment lives forever,” said Andy Roddick in his tweet.

Not only this, but joining him was Martina Navratilova as well who came ahead and talked highly about the British player. She suggested that his retirement would be up to him. She further added that be it just after a match or later, it depends on him but his legacy will forever be there.
Both legends assure fans that whenever Murray decides to retire, his legacy will stay strong. “Whenever Andy decides. Not one match sooner or later. And his legacy will be just fine, don’t you worry about it!” said Navratilova in the tweet.
