While a fan suggested that he should take retirement from the sport, Murray replied that unlike other sports athletes, he does not think about it in that way. He rather suggested that he has a different mindset.

“Tarnishing my legacy? Do me a favour. I’m in a terrible moment right now I’ll give you that. Most people would quit and give up in my situation right now. But I’m not most people and my mind works differently. I won’t quit. I will keep fighting and working to produce the performances I know I’m capable of,” said Murray while replying to the fan.

While Andy Murray talked about considering retirement, tennis greats Martina Navratilova and Andy Roddick stood firmly by his side. Responding to Murray’s determination to keep fighting, Roddick cheers him on with a resounding “Preach!” He dismisses articles speculating about Murray’s future as unnecessary and critical.
