27-year-old German tennis player Tamara Korpatsch has been on the news recently after she lashed out at her partner Harmony Tan for pulling out of the doubles match at the Wimbledon Championships 2022. Now, she announced another bad news about testing positive for Covid. Also, this news could be worrying news to Rafael Nadal and his fans.
Today, the Spaniard will take on the Italian tennis player Lorenzo Sonego in the third round at the Wimbledon Championships. However, things might not go in his favor after Korpatsch’s unfortunate news.

Worrying news for Rafael Nadal after Tamara Korpatsch tests positive for COVID
Almost 17 hours ago, Tamara Korpatsch posted a selfie with Rafael Nadal and John Isner on her official Instagram account. Now, she announced that she had tested positive for Covid with symptoms. In the caption of her Instagram post she wrote, “Unfortunately I had to withdraw from my next tournament in Contrexeville the WTA 125. I got tested Covid positive… Unfortunately with symptoms. I’ve had very high fever, sore throat and the worst headache like I’ve never had before. I will stay home in quarantine for the next days.”

Before that, she posted a selfie with Nadal, which could be worrisome for the Spaniard’s camp, as there is a very good chance Nadal might contract the virus from the German tennis player.

Nadal is getting ready for his third-round match at Wimbledon Championships 2022
Despite the covid scare, Nadal will most probably go ahead with his third-round match with Sonego. In the previous rounds, Nadal did not look like his usual self, but still managed to win both of his matches. This year, he is the no.2 seed, as he is looking to win his third consecutive Grand Slam title at Wimbledon.
