Miami Open has been off to a dismal start with severe rain showers halting play regularly. However, last night, Christopher Eubanks gave the tournament exactly what it needed. His remarkable comeback against Britton ace, Daniel Evans, grabbed all the headlines. Meanwhile, his best buddy, Coco Gauff, couldn’t help but react to it.

Eubanks was taking on Evans in the 2nd round of the Miami Open 2024. The match was down to a deciding set tie-break where the American stunned the crowd. With a 6-4 lead in the final set breaker, Evans had two match points, one being on his serve. He hammered a big serve, wide off Eubanks on the deuce side to set up a short forehand for himself. It seemed like an easy put away for Evans, but Eubanks had other plans. The attempt to wrong-foot the American backfired, who in turn used the pace of the ball to just slice it past Evans.

Eubanks then saved the second match point with an ace and then eventually sealed the tie 9-7 in the breaker. The crowd was on their feet and BFF Coco Gauff couldn’t miss out on this moment. She took to her Instagram story and reposted the remarkable turn of events. The 20-year-old did not add any words to her story, however, she dropped the ‘🤯’ emoticon to showcase how stunned she was.
