The tennis fans are closely viewing the progress that Danielle Collins is making at the Miami Open. Ever since the WTA star announced that this season is likely to mark an end to her professional tennis career as a player, fans have been enjoying every moment, unsure which would be her last.

Proving to be a dominant force in the ongoing tournament, the tennis star recently secured a position in the semi-final by serving a 6-3 6-2 defeat to her opponent Maria Sakkari. Moving ahead with fine-offs of winning the title this year, the victory would mean a lot more than just a title win, marking a notable feat that the legendary player Pete Sampras was able to attain in his career.

Despite all the achievements that Pete Sampras cracked during his career, fans didn’t shed tears during his retirement but congratulated him for his amazing performance in the last-played tournament. Defeating another legend Andre Agassi in the finals of the US Open 2002, Sampras not only added another number to his grand slam portfolio but also created a soft edge to proudly announce his retirement.
