The 2023 French Open has wrapped up and Novak Djokovic has claimed a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title. He now sits comfortably above both Rafael Nadal (22) and Roger Federer (20). Many wonder how Djokovic was able to win as many slams as he did. Others would wonder if not for his rivals, would he have won so many? This is the same question to which Patrick Mouratoglou, the ex-coach of Serena Williams, is trying to find the answer.

Patrick Mouratoglou poses a pertinent question about the ‘Big Three’

Nadal and Federer stepped up to the world stage long before Djokovic. The two changed the field with their rivalry and blinding dominance of the sport. With Djokovic’s 23rd grand slam win, he now stands above both. As several are now witnessing the talent of the Serbian great, Patrick Mouratoglou, like many fans, is wondering how Djokovic was able to claim the most Major titles ahead of ‘Fedal’.

As he posed the question on his Twitter page, the French coach forced people to wonder whether he was limited at 23 due to his rivalry with the two or he was able to win this many due to the two players. “Is it thanks to Rafa and Roger that Novak could reach 23 GS or because of them that he won only 23?“, the French coach tweeted.
