Not only has Roger Federer had a stellar tennis career but also has inspired the next generation of stars. Such is the greatness of the Swiss maestro, mesmerizing fans and fellow players across the globe. Last year, the 20-time Grand Slam champion called an end to his career, creating a huge void in the tennis circuit. However, his influence has continued to rub off on the current crop of players. Recently, World Number 1, Iga Swiatek, mentioned Federer’s influence while making a massive decision.

Swiatek was asked about what made her consider teaming up with On. Replying to this question, she said, “I’ve always felt like On is going to be that brand that is really going to succeed—and I wanted to be a part of that.” Further, she went on to add, “Obviously, they work with Roger. He worked on the shoe, but I also want to work on the apparel because On Running has great shoes, but I think more people should talk about the apparel — it’s amazing. Soon I’ll also have my own tennis shoe, which is exciting.”
