After taking a long break due to physical inability, Rafael Nadal scored his debut victory at the Mutua Madrid Open tour. While this epic return delighted fans’ longing hearts, Nadal’s adorable baby boy became the event’s showstopper. Following the same tone, former Puerto Rican WTA star Monica Puig revealed how this little bundle of joy “melted” her and the whole fraternity’s hearts.

The tennis Channel’s official X (formerly Twitter) platform recently shared a clip, in which Monica Puig along with two other hosts joined to discuss Nadal’s epic return and the audience’s reaction. In this context, Nadal’s baby boy became an adorable subject. Mentioning his presence to cheer his father at the Mutua Madrid Open’s first round against Darwin Blanch, Puig commented- “One of the pictures we saw where his son was smiling watching him on court. My heart melted to the floor. That was the cutest thing I have ever seen.”

Not just Puig but the whole fraternity witnessed the heartwarming moment. A reliable tennis source shared a picture previously from the match where they captured junior Rafa’s adorable smile at his father. Sharing the image, that source wrote- “Rafa Jr watching his dad have zero mercy on a clay court.” This post didn’t miss famous coach Boris Becker’s sight and he retweeted the post captioning it- “So adorable Rafa Jr.” 

Junior Rafa’s expression surely stole the limelight. When the Spaniard tennis legend went out with his family before his match in Madrid, all the cameras couldn’t stop but capture his adorable son’s cute expressions.

Delighted Rafael Nadal shared his thoughts on his son watching him rule the clay court in Madrid

While the majority of the tennis fraternity is currently immersed in baby Rafa’s cuteness, his father also expressed what it feels like to watch his son cheer for him. Nadal said-“Have a son and come back home and see him and be a father is a completely different thing. The feeling is completely different to anything else, just have the chance to see him watching me play,”

While Nadal mentioned that his son is too young to understand the game, his presence was everything for the ATP legend that day. Mentioning it, Nadal said- “Even if it’s for just short period of time and doesn’t matter if he doesn’t know anything about what happened, that stays there and for me it’s a great memory,”

Monica Puig’s feelings about watching junior Rafa cheer for his father made the whole tennis fraternity go “awww”. Now that Boris Becker also shared his happiness seeing this adorable interaction, fans can understand how much Nadal’s fans are delighted for his comeback. More than that, they seemed delighted to see Rafael Nadal and his son’s cute bonding moment at Madrid.
