Roger Federer, Legendary Swiss tennis player, recently gave a shocking news to tennis fans, as he announced his retirement from professional tennis. According to his statement, the Laver Cup 2022 will be the last tournament in his career.

Earlier, Roger Federer sat down with Savannah Guthrie from the Today show, to talk about his decision on retirement. Notably, this was his very first interview after releasing the statement on social media a few days back.
When asked about pulling off a Tom Brady-inspired U-turn, Federer said, “No, I know, I’m definitely done, I know that.”

However, he allegedly changed his mind after seeing 37-year-old, Cristiano Ronaldo’s performance at the Old Trafford Stadium. In the latest NFL season, he will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to possibly play a full season. On the other hand, Federer’s news might not please his fans, as many of them were hoping to see him making a comeback in the future.
