However, this time it managed to catch Chris Evert’s eye as she quoted the tweet while expressing her emotions. The American said, “Such a sweet, genuine moment… really miss these two…” along with a sad emoticon.

The impact of Federer and Nadal is not just limited to the fans. Their friendship is adored within the tennis fraternity as even an 18-time major champion can feel their absence. Famously termed as ‘Fedal‘, they happen to be one of the most iconic duos in the sporting world. However, in recent times, they seem to have distanced themselves from each other.

Things have calmed down between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

A few weeks ago, the Swiss Maestro had revealed that they hadn’t spoken much since his retirement. Federer signed off from tennis while Nadal struggled with his injuries at the same time. The Spaniard hasn’t been able to step on the court for long without suffering another blow. Times have been really hard for the 22-time major champion and Federer had said, “when he’s not doing so well, things calm down between us.”
