What defines the greatest athletes of all time? Recently, a survey was conducted by ‘Akimo Philip’ on X made a list of the ‘Top 10 Greatest Athletes of All Time’. The two GOATs of soccer, Lionel Messi (1) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2) held the top two spots on the list. But the fans were surprised to see Novak Djokovic getting snubbed in brutal fashion, with Serena Williams being the only tennis player to make it to the list.

She is in the 9th spot of the Top 10 list. Several other superstars of sports got featured but the surprising omission of the current world number one in men’s singles has left tennis fans infuriated.

The other one also highlighted the snub of the ‘GOAT‘ of tennis.

Extremely biased. Where is Djokovic who plays an extremely physical individual sport? Even Kohli knows Djokovic is a better athlete than him,” said the other fans.

While a few of them added, “Maby you guys are misinformed or something….like seriously?????

Several other fans also expressed their astonishment at the exclusion of the Serbian superstar.

Although this year didn’t start off well for the Serbian, Novak Djokovic had a stellar season last year. His 33-match unbeaten streak at the Australian Open was broken at the hands of the 22-year-old Italian Jannik Sinner at the SF of the 2024 AO. Sinner then went on to win his maiden Grand Slam title at the Melbourne Park. Can Novak Djokovic get back to his winning ways?

Djokovic is still the world number one

As per the latest UTR rankings, Jannik Sinner has recently replaced the 36-year-old Serb at the top of the list. However, when it comes to the current ATP rankings, Novak Djokovic is still sitting comfortably at the helm of men’s tennis. He is currently at 9855 points with a 600-point lead over his Spanish rival, Carlos Alcaraz. Alcaraz sits at the second spot with 9255 points.

However, the rise of several youngsters in the game might cause a little bit of worry in Djokovic’s camp. He will now look forward to making a statement when he steps next onto the court at the Indian Wells, which kick starts on March 6. Djokovic last appeared in this tournament in 2019 and has won 5 titles here throughout his career. Can he grab his 6th next time around?
