A hilarious incident took place between American tennis players, Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe during the United Cup. Tiafoe tried to pull his compatriot’s pants down from behind during a post-match interview. The ‘attempted’ pantsing occurred after Fritz and his teammate, Jessica Pegula, played their mixed doubles match.

A video clip of the incident between Fritz and Tiafoe also got emerged on social media. Upon witnessing the hilarious incident, other players from the United States tennis community reacted to the video. Subsequently, Coco Gauff, Reilly Opelka, Ben Shelton, and Fritz were involved in a hilarious banter on social media.

The official Instagram account of Tennis TV shared a video clip of Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz after an attempted pantsing at the United Cup. After the US team mixed doubles match, Tiafoe sneaked behind his compatriot in order to pants him. Later Fritz revealed that this was not the first time when Tiafoe tried pantsing him.

Fritz commented on the same post on Twitter, “Fun Fact – @FTiafoe has actually pantsed me in public before… when he grabbed my shorts there I thought it was all over”

Later on, some of the American tennis players were involved in banter after witnessing the hilarious video clip uploaded by Tennis TV on Instagram. Fritz commented on the post, “If the shorts came down hands were flying I promise”

Another American tennis star, Reilly Opelka, joined in on the conversation. He commented, “My money on foe”

Fritz took note of Opelka’s comment on the video. He replied by saying, “@reillyopelka #cagefightingfritz”

After the incident, Fritz threatened Tiafoe by saying that he will “knock him out” if he tries pantsing him again. He was also spotted saying, “Yeah one punch, he’s out,” in the video clip. Notably, the American tennis player, Ben Shelton commented, “@bigfoe1998 “one punch he’s out” Personally I wouldn’t take that level of disrespect”

Fritz replied by saying, “@benshelton i already took that level of disrespect when my pants were on the floor in the Rome players lounge”

The WTA star, Coco Gauff, also joined the banter as she commented, “@bigfoe1998 one punch man”

Fritz responded, “@cocogauff next big PPV boxing event incoming”

Apart from being involved in such funny incidents, the US team is performing brilliantly in the United Cup. It was Fritz who gave the Americans a crucial 1-0 lead in the initial match of the event.
