It has been quite a fairytale of a relationship between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa. While they looked inseparable at one point in time, the pair announced a shocking breakup in May last year. However, weeks later, the two got back together again, and the breakup news was history. It looks like the scenario is repeating again, as rumors have been swirling that something is not well between the two tennis stars. Shortly after the Wimbledon Championships, Badosa and Tsitsipas reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram. While it is early to conclude anything from this, Badosa’s latest move further adds fuel to their breakup rumors.

Until a few weeks ago, Badosa and Tsitsipas were due to team up with each other for the mixed doubles championship of the US Open. A $1 million event, the rumored ex-couple was among the first teams announced in the probable lineup for the event. However, if the recent confirmations are to go by, Badosa has found herself a new partner for the tournament, ditching Tsitsipas.

It is being reported that Badosa has signed up to play with Jack Draper in the mixed doubles event at the US Open. Among the 14 teams confirmed for the tournament, Tsitsipas is nowhere to be seen. Although the Greek star was excited to play in the event alongside Badosa, his absence has raised eyebrows in the tennis circles, with questions being raised about the possible breakup between him and Badosa.

Meanwhile, among the pre-announced teams, most of the big names will feature in the tournament. One of the pairs that is yet to confirm its participation is the duo of Naomi Osaka and Nick Kyrgios. It will depend on the latter’s fitness, given that he hasn’t played for the majority of this season. Further, Venus Williams is back in the fray, and she will team up with Reilly Opelka in the event.
