Are you ready for the third edition of the Pickleball Slam? The countdown has already started as four tennis legends are all set to compete for a staggering $1 million prize money. Tennis icons, Andre Agassi and his wife, Steffi Graf will take on the dynamic duo of Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard on Sunday, February 16! Who’ll win this mega battle at the Michelob ULTRA Arena? Time will tell, but the temperature has already started to soar high in the buildup of this event. All four players are currently busy setting the tone for the Pickleball Slam 3. Recently, Agassi was yet again spotted taking a hilarious dig at the former world number one, Andy Roddick! What did he say?

This is the first time that the tournament is going to be held in Las Vegas. The previous two editions were hosted at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. For those who are unaware, Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi were on the same team at the inaugural edition of the Pickleball Slam last year. They defeated the pair of John McEnroe and Michael Chang at that time. After that, Agassi was spotted teaming up with Steffi Graf and they defeated John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova in that edition.

Speaking about his fond memories with Agassi in the inaugural edition, Andy Roddick was heard saying, “It was a weird thing for me to just totally carry Andre [Agassi] to victory and then he just kind of, I think he just kind of kicked me out of the event and went on with his business. I guess that’s what happens when you have a wife who’s the best of all time as an option.” After that, Agassi was spotted joining the banter in multiple promotional videos for the mega event. Recently he was seen sitting alongside Steffi Graf in a video clip and stating, “This year, at Slam 3, I’ll be facing one of the greats of the game (referring to Eugenie Bouchard), and also Andy Roddick.“

Even Roddick’s teammate took notice of that video clip and shared it on her IG story with the caption, “Hahahaha Andre @agassi.” Not only that, a few days ago in another video clip Andre Agassi was seen issuing a stern warning to Andy Roddick by saying, “Yo Andy, I heard that the teams are all set for the Pickleball Slam 3. You and Genie got the ‘Big’ John Isner. Me and Stef got Mardy Fish. Well, we welcome Mardy Fish. And we also welcome the b–t-kicking that we’re gonna drop on you guys. Feb 16, right here in our hometown in Las Vegas. Better show up.” The mind games have already started in between the players and so has the hilarious mocking. However, Roddick is perhaps having the toughest time out there!

In November, we saw a video clip where Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf were seen acknowledging their friendly bond with Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard. They said, “We just want you to know, Andy and Genie, that to us, you’ll always be family.” Agassi added, “Andy, you’ve been like a younger brother to me.” After that Graf went on to say, “And Genie, you spent time down here in Las Vegas with us.” However, amid all these kind words, they didn’t forget to remind them about their upcoming challenge on February 16!

They said, “But on February 16, you are the enemy. Can’t wait to see you.” Even Andy Roddick has previously expressed his admiration for Agassi and Graf by saying, “Like I’ve known Andre, and he’s been my idol for a long time, but I have a hard time being in Steff’s presence without being like incredibly starstruck. Steff is like a huge exception. I can’t be around her without feeling like everything I say is just idiotic, which it might be. I’m just more conscious of it.” However, little did he know at that time, what was lining up next for him in the next few days.

Andre Agassi has been firing shots at Roddick in the last few days. Recently, he and Eugenie Bouchard even made hilarious claims of confusing Andy Roddick with Andy Murray ahead of the pickleball clash. In a video clip, Agassi was heard saying, “When I heard I was facing Andy in the Pickleball Slam 3, I gotta admit, I was a little worried. I thought it was Andy Murray.” After that, even Roddick’s teammate, Bouchard also joined Agassi. She shared that post on her IG story with the caption, “@andymurray where you at 😭.“
