It’s the jolliest time of the year- Christmas is finally here! At the end of a hectic year full of ups and downs, the tennis world is sure enjoying celebrating. Rafael Nadal and Dominic Thiem are both wishing the world a Merry Christmas. Moreover, Rod Laver and Ana Ivanovic, among other big stars, are celebrating with family.
The Christmas greetings have it all for the tennis fans. Not only do they get Thiem’s wishes, but they see him try to put a Christmas hat on his dog. Then, all the way over in Australia, beautiful smiles and decorations grace the houses of Iga Swiatek and the legendary Rod Laver.

Rafael Nadal and the world of tennis celebrate Christmas
Dominic Thiem looks back at 2021 and thanks everyone for their support in what he calls a “challenging year”. Meanwhile, in his Instagram post which accompanies these wishes, he struggles to put a Christmas cap on his dog, Elon. “Much love, Domi ❤️,” he writes.

20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal wishes everyone a happy Christmas Eve. Standing in front of a beautiful Christmas tree, he wishes everyone and their families good health.

Apart from Rafael Nadal, Italian former World No. 1 Fabio Fognini, and French star Alize Cornet, too, are celebrating. Fognini managed to get in a Christmas Eve tennis practice session and wishes everyone safety and health. Furthermore, Cornet wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and sends out thoughts and prayers for those isolated by the global pandemic.
Moreover, Australian legend Rod Laver, alongside his girlfriend Susan Johnson, shows off his Christmas decorations. “Sending everyone our best wishes for the holiday season. Rod and Susan,” he writes.

Ana Ivanovic and Iga Swiatek are both happy celebrating Christmas with their respective families. Ivanovic shares a beautiful Christmas picture with her husband Bastien Schweinsteiger, a celebrated German football player. Additionally, World No. 9 Iga Swiatek, wishes warmth, health, and peace on all. “For me, it is a family time, and I will welcome the New Year in Australia. Stay warm,” she writes.

Moreover, the Internation Tennis Federation shared a hilarious comparison to spread smiles. The official ITF page shared a picture of Bianca Andreesu wearing a Christmas sweater. However, it is the exact same sweater as that from a hilarious internet meme of Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Jake Gyllenhall. “Who wore it best?” they ask.
