The American tennis legend, Serena Williams has always been creative when it comes to naming her pets. The 23-time singles Grand Slam champion previously surprised a slew of people when she revealed that she named her dog, “Rafa”. She further revealed the reason behind naming her dog after the Spanish tennis legend, Rafael Nadal. Williams stated that she has always admired him as a huge fan. However, Nadal isn’t the only player that has inspired Williams during her journey on the court.

Another name of the tennis great, Roger Federer came into Williams’ consideration when she was asked about naming her child. The tennis star surprised a lot of fans when she revealed that she might name her child after the Swiss tennis legend.

The 23-time singles Grand Slam champion previously conducted a Q and A session on her social media in order to converse with her fans. Serena Williams stated, “Today is Friday. I anyone feeling a quick #SerenaFriday ?? If so ask anything you want. I’m here and ready. Hurry before I get too busy. :)”

As a result, they searched a slew of synonyms of the word “strong” in order to come up with a good name for their daughter. Williams added that she finally came up with the inspiring name Olympia. She wanted a name that will inspire her throughout her journey on the court.
