Many sporting greats usually donate some of their equipment and jerseys used in famous matches and memorable moments. These donations draw a large amount of money in auctions. The privileged sports fans are more than willing to pay hefty sums for ownership of such memorabilia. One of those players whose equipment generally draws great amounts is Rafael Nadal.
The money is then used for important causes and to help the underprivileged. Recently, it was announced that Nadal’s racquet is set to be auctioned off soon.
Additionally, the auction will include equipment used by other tennis legends. The list includes Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and John McEnroe.

Nadal has expressed how much the worldwide effect of coronavirus has emotionally impacted him. During the lockdown, he donated one of his t-shirts from the French Open 2019 campaign, for an auction.
“I don’t know if it was with this polo that I finished the match. But it is one of the four or five that is a t-shirt that means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy it and that the bids will be as high as possible. To raise as much money as possible for all those people who are suffering and who need our support, “Nadal said of his contribution.
