As the Big Three are not playing at the event this time, all eyes will be on the top-seed Daniil Medvedev. As far as women’s tennis is concerned, it will be the World No. 2 Naomi Osaka who will be beginning as the favorite.
Naomi Osaka won the hearts of tennis fans after her splendid performance at the Australian Open 2021. The Japanese star first defeated the in-form Serena Williams in straight sets in the semis and then went on to thrash Jennifer Brady in the finals. In a recent interview, tennis legend Jim Courier revealed who he was excited to watch in Miami. According to him, there are two players who will surely be worth watching.

“Some of the young players, like Naomi Osaka and Daniil Medvedev, are really taking flight,” said the 4-time Grand Slam winner.
The two youngsters have clearly impressed Courier. He also believes that they have a great chance to win the title in Miami this year.
