A few moments ago, former American tennis player Mardy Fish playfully teased the Swiss Maestro and called his footwork ‘terrible‘. He even sarcastically said, ‘Old man is clueless about the game of tennis.’

But Coco Gauff’s coach, Brad Gilbert thinks otherwise, as he said, “Such a great way to get in a hit, at any level. Tremendous seeing Fed play on the wall.” Roger Federer is in fact a big supporter of the 19-year-old American tennis star. He had even applauded Coco Gauff after her ‘inspirational’ US Open triumph last year, calling it ‘highly special and unique.’

Talking about uniqueness, Federer’s footwork is often called unique due to his ‘cross-behind’ movements. However, when it comes to his shots, he always manages to hit the ball from the sweet spot of the racket.

Talking about his shots, Brad Gilbert once said, “He’s the greatest I’ve ever seen at serving wide. And then next ball into the open court, you were toast. He did that so often with those one-two punches that I think he opened a lot of guys’ and girls’ eyes to wow, that’s really important to have.

After seeing the Swiss Maestro sweating it out once again with the racket in hand, several other tennis stars, along with his fans, were also amused. What did they say about Federer’s recent post?
