During a tennis debate regarding who is the best player on the men’s tour, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are two big names that have often received a lot of emphasis. And it is quite justified given the remarkable legacies that the ATP legends have established during their respective on-court journeys.

The Spaniard has amassed 22 singles Grand Slam titles while his former Swiss colleague has marked 20 major triumphs prior to his retirement in the previous season. Though the 37-year-old might have the upper hand in this aspect of the game, it is Federer who is the “leader” in stroke-making ability on the court, according to Serena Williams’ former coach, Rick Macci.

When it comes to sharing his opinions on the on-court game styles and approaches of some of the top players, the legendary American coach is fairly active on Twitter. This time around, it was the ATP legends and the old arch-rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal that caught the attention of Rick Macci.

While comparing the two tennis icons, the USPTA national coach discussed the idea of the “best forehand of all time” on the court. He tweeted, “The best Forehand of all time is close with Rafa but @rogerfederer is the leader in the stroking clubhouse because of the incredible element he took the ball so early on the Rise gave you a Suprise in the blink of an Eye say Goodbye. TENNIS IS A GAME OF TIME.”

Although some players of great caliber have been trounced by Nadal’s fierce forehand, it is Federer’s stroke-making ability that has captured Macci’s heart. Apart from this, the Spaniard recently faced another brutal snub while his Swiss rival made it a list of top players owing to his forehand technique.
