However, there was a technical problem that created a lot of problems for the reporters. According to Express Sport, the British tennis player was bidding to reach the second round of the tournament. The entire nation was cheering for him, but Wimbledon’s Wi-Fi suddenly crashed.

Rain literally canceled 28 matches that were supposed to be played on the opening day, creating chaos among the tennis players.

Nevertheless, just a few days ago, the grass-court Grand Slam tournament also faced a huge problem in terms of their sponsorship relationship. That literally provoked a lot of celebrities who are connected to the tournament.

The Wimbledon Championship has made headlines for a sponsorship arrangement that they had with the British bank Barclays last year. According to Guardian reports, a number of celebrities, including Emma Thompson, have urged Wimbledon to sever its relationship with Barclays. And the occasion contributed to a plea to make this significant move for the grass-court competition.

The campaigners are adamant that the plan is incompatible with Wimbledon’s cultural legacy and environmental regulations as a result.
