Elena Rybakina’s current coach Stefano Vukov is getting a lot of heat for his antics during the Australian Open. While she was praised for her outstanding performance throughout the tournament, her coach, on the other hand, received a lot of backlash regarding his approach. However, Serena Williams‘ former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, shared his opinion on the coach’s behavior and also bashed the tennis legend, Pam Shriver for her words.

The 23-year-old tennis player reached her second Grand claim final at Melbourne Park this year. Under the mentorship of the Croatian coach, the Kazak tennis player won her maiden Grand Slam title last year at Wimbledon. She reached the Australian Open 2023 final, but lost against Aryna Sabalenka.

It all began when the former American tennis star, Pam Shriver, expressed her dissatisfaction with the coach of the former world no. 10. She took to Twitter asking the 23-year-old to look for a coach who would treat her with more respect.

However, to clear the wrong idea, the Kazakh star released a statement where she talked in favor of her coach. And how she would not accept disrespect in any form. To this, the 52-year-old former coach of Serena Williams, Patrick Mouratoglou, took to Twitter and tagged Rybakina’s Instagram story that was shared on Twitter by a journalist. He tweeted, “Some people throw others under the bus without any knowledge or information. Good job Elena, for speaking up.”
