During an interview in early November, he said something that didn’t sit well with most people. When asked if Anna brought any significant impact in his life, he answered, “I don’t think anything has changed.” Continuing further, he added, “Having a girlfriend is something that either makes you feel good or makes you feel bad. I want it to be something that feels very natural, which comes into my life normally. I can’t afford to change as a player or as a person. That hasn’t happened, that’s why it works.” 

Ever since his words spread like a wild fire online, it was observed that Anna and Jannik weren’t communicating. On social media, there was no trace of them mentioning each other. Even when Jannik won the ATP Finals in Turin, Anna wasn’t present in the stands and didn’t share any message or heartfelt note on her social media for him. Instead, ex-girlfriend, Maria Braccini, an Italian model and influencer, was seen in Sinner’s matches in the year-end tournament. It led to many speculations of Sinner rekindling with his ex and parting ways with Anna- but here comes a twist, thanks to another wild rumor.

Jannik Sinner is reportedly trying to get back to Anna Kalinskaya, according to the Italian website Corriere dello Sport. Rumor has it that after leading Italy to a second Davis Cup victory, Sinner flew to Miami to meet Anna and celebrate her 26th birthday, which was on December 2. For the unaware, Anna has been vacationing in Miami since past few weeks as part of her tennis break.

It’s worth nothing that Anna did post pictures from her birthday on her Instagram a few days ago. However, none of them featured Sinner. Per the rumor, though, it’s because they chose not to do so. Seems like they still want to keep things private. If the current speculation is true, however, it’s definitely a great sign. After all, the two have had an amazing bond, which is evident from their confessions for each other in the past.

I won’t say more.” A month later, in an interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Sinner expressed what Anna Kalinskaya meant to him.

On the question of too much traveling and still finding time for each other, he said, “Of course, it’s not easy. I travel a lot and during tournaments, I’m very focused. But I think it’s a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone.” When asked why does he tries to keep his life too private, he said, “I want to protect the people closest to me”.

The two were also spotted together at the Wimbledon in July. Sinner was present during Anna’s matches and cheered for her. She then returned the favor in the US Open, in September, where he eventually lifted the trophy as well.
