The newly crowned US Open champions recently got featured in the list of the ‘Most Marketable Athletes’ in the sporting community. However, despite the tennis sensations’ illustrious presence, the star-studded list got brutally trolled by fans on social media.

Fans react to the ‘most marketable athletes’ list featuring Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff
Every season, Sports Pro releases the list of the ‘Most Marketable Athletes’, based on three criteria: brand strength, total addressable market, and economics.’ In the latest edition of this accolade, Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff also made it to the top 20 rankings, with the Serb sitting in the 11th spot. The WTA phenomenon, on the other hand, found herself in 12th place on the SportsPro list.
A lot of tennis fans took note of the same and dropped their reactions on Twitter as they criticized the list of the ‘Most Marketable Athletes’. One fan said, “This list is hilarious 😅”

The reigning Wimbledon champion, Carlos Alcaraz, was ranked 54, which was lower than the WTA superstars. Taking note of the same, another fan said, “Alcaraz at 54 and lower than Sabalenka, Raducanu, Kvitova and Jabeur just makes the whole list incredibly invalid in all honesty.”
