The world of tennis is coming together for a big move. The countries of Morocco and Lybia have been torn apart by natural disasters. The disasters have caused immense disruption in the lives of its citizens. To help the country, the seven major communities of the sport are uniting. Along with players, the world of tennis is aiming to raise funds that can provide various resources for the countries affected.
Along with the major organizations, Novak Djokovic is also raising awareness of the problems faced by the North African countries. The Serbian star has shared information related to the events. He is also joining the tennis community to help those struck by the problem.

Tennis world comes together to raise funds for Africa
Just a week ago, a massive earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale struck the High Atlas mountains in Morocco. It caused widespread devastation and has caused at least 2,900 confirmed casualties. Not long after, thousands died when Storm Daniel made landfall in Libya. It forced the collapse of two dams in Derna and sent waves throughout the city.
The ATP, WTA, ITF, and the four grand slam organizers have come together to raise funds to alleviate the issues of the citizens of the countries. Many tennis players have joined hands with them, including Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur.
She said, “My heart goes out to all those affected by the events which have devastated communities and families in the North African region. It is important for us to show our support through funds raised which will help provide food, clean water, and necessary supplies to survivors, while also supporting longer-term relief and recovery.

She also praised the tennis organizations for their efforts. “It’s great to see this initiative from the tennis governing bodies and I encourage fans to rally for those in need through Tennis Plays For Love.”
These efforts have come into action soon after Novak Djokovic voiced his support for the disaster-stricken areas.

Novak Djokovic shares tragic news of North Africa
Soon after Morocco and Libya were rocked by the earthquake and the flood, Novak Djokovic was quick to share the news of the tragedy. He worried about the citizens whose lives would face major disruption. To help out, Djokovic shared pictures of the disaster-struck areas, hoping to increase awareness of the matter.

On his Instagram page, he shared the pictures with emojis, sharing his distress at the situation. The player has contributed to the effort, which aims to help people in the two countries. The major organizations in the tennis committee have come together. Now, people of the two countries are bound to receive help to relieve some of their problems.
