With just about one week remaining for Wimbledon’s commencement, the players are spending their time playing the grass court lead-up tournaments. Well, not all players have the same method of preparing for the championships. Some prefer resting, some prefer playing exhibitions, while some like to attend music concerts! Yes, attending music concerts has become the norm in the short Wimbledon preparation swing.

Well, the concerts can also be limited to a certain famous Canadian artist. Earlier it was Casper Ruud, the Roland Garros finalist who was spotted attending the concert. Now, Elina Svitolina has followed in his footsteps as she spent her Saturday night at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam. But, who is the Canadian artist in question?

The Weekend’s ongoing ‘Hours Til Dawn‘ stadium tour has been a hit so far with sell-out crowds all across Europe. Last night, The Weekend performed in Amsterdam in front of over 50,000 fans at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Elina Svitolina was among those 50,000 fans. The Ukrainian posted a series of Instagram stories from the concert. As mentioned before, Svitolina is not the only tennis player spending the pre-Wimbledon week at music concerts.

Casper Ruud announced his presence at The Weekend’s concert last week when the Canadian artist performed in Oslo, Norway. In fact, the Norwegian announced it at a much higher level. He posted clips from the concert and used The Weekend’s lyrics for the caption which read, “I ALWAYS WANT YOU WHEN IM CONING DOWN“.

However, this was not the first instance where Ruud revealed his love for the Canadian artist. In fact, the world number 4 has been a well-known admirer of The Weekend.

Recently, tennis fans saw the fanboy side of Casper Ruud when a clip from The Weekend’s concert went viral. Earlier, the Norweigan was only known to be a Rafael Nadal fanboy, but The Weekend has now joined the exclusive list. The Norweigan expressed his frustration after witnessing a rather quiet atmosphere at The Weekend’s concert.

He said, “They have no idea how lucky they are to witness this live and they’re just standing there.. I would scream so loud“.
