The mixed doubles final at the US Open turned out to be the perfect show. While fans generally expect a duo to win and the other to lose, the events that occurred didn’t actually go that way. Taylor Townsend and Donald Young, the duo that became the bearer of expectations for the American audience, had to miss out on the title. However, despite being knocked out by the Italian duo, they went home with a prize that would prevail for a lifetime.
