WATCH: Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu Hint Playing Doubles at Indian Wells 2021

After two and a half years, the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells has finally returned. Indeed, it is one of the most special tournaments on both ATP and WTA Tour, and likewise, fans and players are excited about it. However, there is more to it than just that. Recently, Great Britain stars Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu, left from practice together, leading fans to speculate at a possible doubles team up. 

Both Murray and Raducanu have been all praise for each other over the past few months. Interestingly, the three-time Grand Slam champion has also made it into the 18-year-old’s Top 5 probable long-term coaches. But are they going to pair up for some fine tennis in the desert?

Notably, both Andy Murray and Emma Raducanu have received wild cards to compete in Indian Wells. While the veteran is looking forward to making his way back to the top, the teenager is excited about her debut.

Most probably, the duo would compete only in the singles events on their respective tours. But if a mixed doubles team-up is on the cards, the tournament might get more interesting.

In this video, fans see Murray and Raducanu leaving the tennis courts together. Besides, the 34-year-old is probably giving her some tips, with the young prodigy following intently.

So far, there has been no news about them playing doubles together. But if they choose to play, the announcement won’t be far from now. Nevertheless, both Murray and Raducanu are sure to put on a show at the Indian Wells 2021 tournament.

Due to his low ranking, Murray would have to go through a tough draw in the desert. In the first round, he will take on French professional Adrian Mannarino. Next, he would potentially meet Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev in the following rounds.

As for 17th seed Raducanu, she received a bye in the first round. In the second round, she will lock horns with World No.100 Aliaksandra Sasnovich.
