The Serbian tennis great Novak Djokovic returned to Australia in style. After missing out last year, Djokovic announced himself Down Under with a title run at the Adelaide International. Taking his good form forward, he had a rather flawless Australian Open, where he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets in the final to lift his 22nd Major title.

As we all know, there is one favorite tournament for all the great tennis players. For Rafael Nadal, it is Roland Garros, and it was the Wimbledon Championships for Roger Federer. Now, it will be fairly obvious that Djokovic loves the Australian Open. Supporting these facts, senior journalists Ben Rothenberg and Christopher Clarey came up with a statistic regarding Novak, Nadal, and the legendary sisters Venus and Serena Williams. However, the fans didn’t find it necessary at all.

Fans are unimpressed with repetitive stats related to Venus and Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic

Anyone who grew up watching tennis in the era of the 2000s will know who ruled it. In women’s tennis, it was Serena and her elder sister Venus Williams. While in the men’s circuit, it has to be the trio of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

After yesterday’s Australian Open final, Djokovic won his 10th final at the first Grand Slam of the year. He made it 10 out of 10 in as many attempts in the final. It was an emotional moment for the Serb and his fans. Before the match, Ben Rothenberg shared the statistic of Djokovic’s 9-0 streak in the Australian Open finals and compared it with Nadal’s 14-0 run in the Roland Garros finals.

Later, the author of Roger Federer’s biography and senior journalist Christopher Clarey added the stat of the Williams sisters in his reply. Underlining the fact that the sister duo has a 14-0 record in their doubles final outing at Grand Slam events.

However, the modern generation is already bored with such stats and they expressed their feelings on Twitter. Here’s how the fans reacted.

Amid the negative replies, a fan gave it back to the haters who claimed they didn’t care about the statistics.
