After having a successful inaugural season, the Brisbane Breakers became the first champions of the league and surprisingly featured a record-breaking prize pool.

The professional league of Australia, which has partnered with the Pickleball Australia Association, will have $700,000 as the prize money placed on the tournament, according to PRNewswire. In addition, it will feature six events spread throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Asia, in addition to eight new professional teams.
