‘Will Win US Open One Day’- Chris Evert Joins Serena Williams to Boost Frances Tiafoe’s Morale After His Heart-Breaking Loss to Carlos Alcaraz

Frances Tiafoe reached the semi-finals of the US Open for the first time in his career, the closest an American male tennis player has come to lifting the title since 2006. Tennis legends Chris Evert and Serena Williams hailed Tiafoe’s performance and showed hope in his ability to prevail in the future.

They both saw the potential of the player and knows that he will achieve great heights in his career. Tiafoe became America’s favorite after he defeated tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, in the fourth round of the US Open.

Chris Evert and Serena Williams shower praises on Frances Tiafoe

It has been way too long since America has seen the US Open title come home in the men’s circuit. So, this year, when Tiafoe stepped up his game and that too beyond everyone’s expectations, fans across the US and beyond could not help but admire the player.

Even legendary American players took to social media to show their appreciation. Chris Evert took to Twitter and stated, You made us PROUD, @FTiafoe and you WILL win the @usopen one day…” The six-time US Open champion could not help but motivate the American tennis player who did the unimaginable.

Apart from her, another six-time US Open champion, Serena Williams, gave a shout-out to her compatriot on his astounding run at the US Open. Tiafoe had worn Williams’ brand Serena’s ‘GOAT’ hoodie. Williams shared an Instagram story of the player wearing it and greeting the crowd.

Having won against Nadal, Tiafoe could not go past another Spaniard, as Carlos Alcaraz Garfia defeated the American in a thrilling semi-final match. Nonetheless, the American player has received love and support from all over the country and he has become America’s new favorite.

The men’s final at the US Open

Since Andy Roddick’s last US Open victory in 2003, America has been waiting for a new male player to repeat the feat, and Tiafoe came very close to emulating that feat. Now we will see a mouth-watering final between the Spanish teenage tennis sensation, Carlos Alcaraz Garfia and the French Open finalist, Casper Ruud.
