Ons Jabeur, who is one of the players to be affected by the mysterious illness rumored to be Covid-19 revealed that the illness is dropping like flies on the players. In addition to Jabeur, other stars like John McEnroe, Chris Eubanks, and Dominic Thiem have also been affected. Here’s what Wozniacki said.

During the post-match interview after her second-round win over Petra Kvitova, Wozniacki was asked how she dealt physically with late-night matches and the fact that players were falling sick amidst this scenario. She said that despite the late finishes, she felt good physically.

Replying to the question, the former World Number 1 said, “I haven’t been spending much time on-site. I come here to practice and play my matches… Really I try to hydrate, stay healthy. I feel pretty good. So hopefully that’s going to continue.” Further, talking about players falling sick, she said, “I usually stay away from people that look sick anyway, but I haven’t seen many people actually in the women’s locker room not feeling well. Yeah, hopefully people stay healthy.”
