Andre Agassi was not sure if he would end up with Steffi Graf. Obviously, he admired her like every other tennis fan for not just having an astounding tennis career, but also for living her life with a strong conviction. As per Agassi, it was a signal, or in fact; the universe had screamed that the German legend was the one for him. At the time, he was going through a divorce with his former wife, Brooke Shields.

Agassi, in a 2014 interview, revealed how he understood that the universe wanted him to get married to Graf in a weird way. It was a huge signal according to Agassi.

How did Andre Agassi know that Steffi Graf was the one for him? 

The first marriage with the renowned Hollywood actress, Brooke Shields, did not work out between the two. So, eventually, they decided to part ways in 1997. However, at that point, he revealed how he realized that the universe was not just giving him signals but was screaming at him that Steffi Graf was the one. In the interview with the Cut, he said, “Yes, I assure you it was screaming.”

He explained, “When you’re in the process of getting a divorce and your wife is preparing for single life by putting up a picture in a heart-shaped magnet on the fridge of the most-ideal legs she wants to strive for and it happens to be your future wife’s legs, that’s the universe screaming. It’s a bullhorn.”

What the 8-time Grand Slam champ adored about Graf was that she lived with convictions and knew exactly what she wanted. This helped Agassi’s impulsive and enticing behavior and the couple helped each other to be better.

How has Agassi been in his post-retirement life?

In 2010, the American tennis legend dropped a bombshell by releasing his book, ‘Open’. In this book, he confessed that he disliked tennis and talked about the intense methods of training adopted by his father. Furthermore, the eight-time Grand Slam champion also guided Novak Djokovic as his coach from 2017 to 2018.
