Zendaya’s new film alongside Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist

The American actress announced her next project which is a romantic tennis film. It is a movie from Call Me By Your Name director, Luca Guadagnino. Additionally, the movie will also have Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist starring in it.

According to Variety, “The film centers on the competitive world of pro tennis, in which player-turned-coach Tashi (Zendaya) has transformed her husband Art (Faist) into a Grand Slam champion. After a losing streak, Tashi enters him into a “Challenger” event — the lowest pro tournament level — where he must face off against Patrick (O’Connor), Tashi’s former boyfriend and his former best friend.”

Further, the cast of the film ‘Challengers’ is currently shooting in Boston. The movie will be out in 2023. Moreover, after the immense success of ‘King Richard’, Zendaya’s film will be aiming to replicate its success.

Apart from critical acclamation, Venus and Serena Williams’ backed King Richard clinched several honors at the award functions. Earlier this year, the movie also won an Oscar. Will Smith, who played the lead role of Richard Williams, received that award for the Best Actor.
